Carly Messner, MOT, OTR/L, RYT 200
FOUNDER
Carly Messner, MOT, OTR/L, RYT 200 is an NBCOT board certified pediatric occupational therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Carly is fulfilling her dream to offer mindful, child-led, natural teachings to exceptional youth in the Black Hills. Carly is passionate about treating the WHOLE child using a neuro-diversity affirming lens. Carly is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and holds certifications with Integrated Listening Systems as a Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Focus Program provider and DIR Floortime certification. She has expertise supporting children with tough behaviors that may accompany sensory processing disorder, Autism and ADHD. She holds years of training and experience helping families learn to use sensory processing interventions at home and make mealtime an easier experience for children with feeding/eating issues. In addition, Carly proudly offers holistic yoga classes for children and adults with a focus on health and stress reduction for persons of all abilities. When she’s not working or teaching you'll likely find her completing house projects, camping, or gardening, while chasing her two young children with her loving husband and biggest supporter, Matthew.

Tristyn Jackson
YOGA INSTRUCTOR, CLINIC MANAGER
Tristyn is a certified Children and Family yoga teacher, US Ambassador for Children’s Yoga Tree and her specializations include chair yoga for seniors, mindfulness and yoga philosophy for children and teens, yoga for children with special needs, and family yoga. In 2015 she completed her first Children’s Yoga Foundation Teacher certification in Colorado. This was a pivotal moment in her life, and where her yoga teaching career began. Tristyn has extensive experience in organizational management, working with children, teens and the aging population and wholeheartedly believes in the power of yoga and mindfulness and how these practices can benefit the communities she serves. Tristyn returned to the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2019 where she focused on continuing education for children’s yoga with Children’s Yoga Tree (UK) 2021. You can typically find Tristyn working her many rewarding and fulfilling jobs, hiking, riding her bike, spending time with friends, crafting kombucha, and running around with her eleven nieces and nephews that call her TT. Tristyn is continuing her knowledge and education of yoga therapy at Whole Child Wellness and is looking forward to the endless enlightening possibilities ahead.
